Tasmania has the talent, resources and natural advantages to build an economy that is stronger, more dynamic and full of opportunity for every region and every generation.

The draft Economic Diversification and Investment Strategy sets out how we can get there. It focuses on unlocking more investment, accelerating innovation, lifting productivity, building skills and capability, supporting regional growth and strengthening our infrastructure.

The draft Strategy is also about how government works. It proposes a more integrated approach to economic development — with clearer priorities, more coordinated decision-making, and a stronger focus on where government can have the greatest impact.

Consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone who contributed their feedback, which is helping shape the final Economic Diversification and Investment Strategy for Tasmania.
